The older you get the higher you wear your pants.  And then one day, somewhere down the line, your pants are so high that you can't breathe, and it suffocates you.

for some young people beginning to dress themselves without the help of their mothers, the pants sag lower! but eventually find their way back up.

lol I've been dropping Lb's all year and I've been forced into wearing all my jeans and shorts up to my belly button so they arent around my ankles with every step. It adds a real hilarious swagger to your steps.

Now that I am thinking of it they do sit higher then what they use to. At this rate they will be pretty high like some of the old timers.

I've always liked wearing my pants at the hip, anything higher feels constricting, plus when they are at that level they show off my hips. x)

When I dress up dapper, they remain at the appropriate height.

this would also explain why nobody over 35 wears shorts below the knees....

Pants below the knee look dorky - that's why we don't wear them that way.

There's a reason why they're called "shorts".

My shorts will always be cut off (or neatly hemmed) below the knees, even if I'm 80 and I have to add fabric to the top of the waist band so it buttons at my neck like all the other guys my age.
